"the secret of success is making your vocation your vacation"

Unknowingly it seems I have been following said advice since I was 10 years old when I got my first job; a paper route in the neighborhood in which I grew up, in Hubbardston Ma. I loved riding my bike so it seemed a perfect fit. On nights and weekends through the winter you could find me making laps at Wachusett Mt, so at age 14 I tried out to be a ski instructor (again a seemingly perfect fit) and worked my way into a free season pass and spending cash until my senior year, when I attended UMass with a double major in music business & Jazz guitar performance. While at UMass I worked as a landscaper to pay rent through the summer months. It was with this company that I learned landscaping as a craft, art & skill. I began tree climbing with this company and got certified with the International Society of Arboriculture. As college came to a close, I found myself spending more time climbing trees, furthering my knowledge & skill. In 2007 I decided to start a tree & landscape company where my focused passion became tree care. Tree Advocate was born. My objective with Tree Advocate has always been to educate first. Tree care discussions are based around the long term goals you have for your property & the implementation of tree care practices are with the best interests of you, your property & your tree in mind. I love what I do & am grateful to call my vocation my vacation. Andrew

Pruning

We feel there is as much an art to pruning as there is a science. Corrective pruning, Aesthetic and Ornamental pruning and hazardous tree and limb removals take skill and knowledge to be done safely and without harm to the tree or landscape surrounding it. We take as much care pruning your prized ornamental as we do pruning your mature shade tree. When finished, your tree and landscape are left better than they are found.

Preserving

Fertilization, Soil remediation, Integrated Pest Management (IPM) & the addition of Structural Bracing & Lightning protection always begin with a tree assessment & a discussion with the property owner. Recommendations are made based on the trees needs & the clients long term goals for the tree.
